TALKS ABOUT
THE ORIGINS OF
WINDOWS TO
INFINITY
“This section is an open window to my inner world, where ideas turn into art and dreams come true. What follows is more than words: these are my thoughts captured on paper. Every stroke, every sketch and every idea is actually a reflection of my journey as a creator. I feel the need to share this process. And I hope you can feel the passion that guided me during the creation of each and every one of these artworks.”
FIRST STEPS: The beginning of Expotour Itinerant
The worldwide halt caused by COVID was the spark that set everything in motion. For the first time in years, I had the time to resume one of my life-long passions —building dioramas. I could reconnect with my roots and this passion revived in me something that was still there.
WINDOWS TO INFINITY: A journey beyond the limits
Expotour Itinerant was conceived as a global product, a brand spanning several large-format exhibitions where art and technology go hand in hand. Windows to Infinity is the first of this series: an open door to the world of immersive art, a reflection of what can be achieved and the starting point of future and even more challenging projects.
SKETCHES AND REFLECTIONS: The creative process
Every artwork is born out of an idea. A stroke, a sketch… And all comes to life. My work on the dioramas (which we will call visions), the immersive experiences, the rooms and the characters sit somewhere between emotion and experimentation.
This scrapbook contains some of my first sketches for Windows to Infinity, back when every stroke moved me closer to a new revelation.
As each one of these artworks was created, a final message came to light, unexpectedly. Little reminders, or universal values, intertwined in every work almost inadvertedly.
THE VISIONS
Art is an opportunity to uncover different universes, from observation of daily life and the beauty of nature to the recreation of great stories and the exploration of the unknown. In this journey, my artistic visions have been classified in three categories reflecting the essence and variety of my work: Thematic Visions, Legendary Visions and Monumental Visions. Each of those emerges out of my ambition to capture universal emotions, discover new horizons and connect with the creative pursuit that moves us as humans. I encourage you to take a deep dive in each of these worlds and find your own inspiration in their stories.
>> Monumental Visions
Through monumental visions I could dream into the unknown. Each one of these artworks is a reflection of my deepest thoughts. These visions explore universal topics such as courage, resilience and the connection between worlds. Every piece embarks on an emotional and conceptual journey to the limits of creativity.
Monumental Visions are grouped under 5 categories:
> Futuristic Visions
> Fantasy Visions
> Adventure Visions
> Classic Visions
> Visions of our planet
>> Thematic artistic visions
The thematic visions were the first on board: they capture everyday moments and the beauty of nature. For me, this is where pure art really lies. Each and every one of these visions has a strong purpose and a specific narrative, connected to universal emotions.
Angels
The Enchanted Forest
Frosty Crossing
Mainland Echoes
Marquis Valley
Shelter in the Eternal Valley
Silent Voices
>> Legendary artistic visions
With this series I had the chance to dive into humanity’s most epic myths and legends. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were an opportunity to explore the past and give it my personal touch. Each one of these visions combines history and creativity and connects the visitor with the greatest milestones of human ingenuity.
The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Lighthouse of Alexandria: A symbol of guidance and power
Colossus of Rhodes: A bronze giant symbolizing human triumph:
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
Statue of Zeus in Olympia
Temple of Artemis in Ephesus
THE CENTRAL HALL: A space of inspiration and greatness
From the very beginning I intended the central hall to be much more than a mere entrance: I wanted it to be a gateway to a new universe that captivated visitors and prepared them for an unexpected journey. I was inspired by the train stations of the past, a symbol of the departure to the unknown, full of history and emotion. My design tries to capture this mix of nostalgia and delight.
Each element is there for a reason: the majestic columns reflect the robustness of the great human creations, the stained-glass windows project an ever-changing light that tells its own story, and the monumental doors can be read as emotional transitions to the created worlds.
The design of this space posed a significant challenge: its purpose was not only to guide the visitors, but also to communicate from the very beginning that they were about to experience something absolutely extraordinary. Every detail tries to recreate the expectation before the start of a great journey.
The central hall is a statement: the start of an experience that sparks curiosity, creates emotions and proves that everything is possible. This is where magic starts.
THE PLAN: Designing ephemeral spaces that come to life
The design and construction of short-lived spaces such as the ones belonging to Windows to Infinity are the main challenge posed by this project, both creatively and logistics-wise. Such spaces, that need to be dismantled, transported and reinstalled in different locations every three months, require an unprecedented level of precision and adaptability.
Every detail in the plan needs to be designed not only to delight the visitors, but also taking modularity and robustness into account. Therefore, one of the key considerations is how to replicate, protect and rapidly assemble each element without compromising its narrative and artistic essence.
These spaces need to offer a flawless experience regardless of the location. Every detail is the result of a granular engineering process and a collaborative design: it is imperative that the immersive experiences flow correctly in every new location and the quality of the artworks can never be compromised by the assembly or the dismantling.
The plan is for me the logistical core of Windows to Infinity. It is a constant reminder that innovation lies not only in what is created, but also in how it is brought to the visitors. These ephemeral spaces are a metaphor of transience and the human effort to capture magic, even if only for a short lapse, and to share it with the world.
IMMERSIVE ROOMS
In Windows to Infinity I created immersive rooms where creativity and innovation go hand in hand, inviting visitors to step into universes crafted out of art and technology in surprising new patterns. I expect visitors in every one of the spaces to turn into the heroes of their own stories. Please allow me to introduce my creations:
The Interactive Workshop
This area is my own way to invite visitors to walk into my creative workshop. Here, dioramas, sculptures and characters come to life thanks to augmented reality in a space that is much more than a workshop: it is an interactive journey with a story waiting to be discovered hidden in every corner.
The Mutant Room
In this enveloping room, visitors get to dive into a dynamic space where 360º projections and special effects transform reality. This is, in my opinion, the future of immersive rooms.
The Monumental Dimension
A virtual theme park where imagination has no limits. Visitors get the chance to explore different zones, inspired by historical landscapes and fantastic worlds, and open to immersive interaction using 3D technology.
The Magic Behind the Art
This is where visitors can see the creative process behind every artwork. From initial sketches to final works of art, every piece is designed to demonstrate how technology and creativity go hand in hand to breathe life into art through virtual reality.
You are invited to walk into this universe and discover first-hand how I reinvented the artistic and technological experience.
The Monumental Model: a miniature universe
The Monumental Model is more than just a model: it is a piece of art that captures the essence of Windows to Infinity. Right from the start, visitors are welcomed by this small-sized universe with a space theme and an intricate design that acts as the visual and conceptual doorway to their journey.
Every part of the model reflects with precision the thematic, legendary and monumental worlds of the exhibition. Through different details, characters and vibrant scenes, the model offers visitors a sneak-peak of what is coming next and also stirs their curiosity. It is an invitation to exploration and to dive into the deepest parts of imagination.
The space themed design of the model is there for a reason: it epitomises the endless journey of creativity and art. Lights and textures create an enveloping experience that guides visitors organically through the different sections of the exhibition. Every detail reveals something new and surprising.
For me, this model is the heart of Windows to Infinity, merging art, technology and narrative under the same roof. It is the starting point of a journey where imagination and reality are inextricably connected, an unforgettable experience for those who dare to take the leap.
PHOTOCALL: living the art first-hand
Windows to Infinity’s photocalls are much more than a setting to take some pictures: they are an opportunity to discover the artistic story behind the exhibition. Visitors don’t simply watch: they are the heroes of the stories we have created.
With our 10 themed photocalls visitors can choose among fascinating characters and scenarios, such as pirates, explorers or mythical heroes. Every space is designed to transport them to a world full of art and adventure.
The most prominent feature of this space is augmented reality, which breathes life into characters and settings. Every picture captures much more than a simple image: it encapsulates motion and emotion. Photocalls offer a way to extend the artistic experience far beyond the exhibition. They invite visitors to take home a piece of this world, a memory that not only can be seen, but also felt and lived. Whenever visitors capture their moments in this space, they cherish the time spent here and they also become part of the narrative.
THE CORNER OF IMAGINATION: The boutique
The thematic boutique of Windows to Infinity is much more than a store. It is an extension of the art and magic that define the exhibition. Every inch of this space is designed to transport visitors to a world where imagination can be touched and seen.
The enveloping atmosphere is directly connected to the works and the characters in the exhibition. Every object tells a story and every detail is a reflection of the creative universe of Windows to Infinity. From customized souvenirs to unique items inspired by the monumental, thematic and legendary visions, the Boutique is where visitors can take home a piece of the journey.
What makes this space so special is the use of augmented reality. When interacting with the items, visitors discover new layers of the story, characters that come to life, scenes that go far beyond the physical sphere and hidden secrets that can only be revealed through exploration.
The Boutique is an extension of the immersive experience, a space where creativity still flows even after the journey is over, inviting visitors to keep connected to the magic of Windows to Infinity also outside its walls. Every item is a living part of this story, a reminder that art is always alive and can be with us everywhere.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I want to thank you for joining me in this unique journey through my notes and sketches. What you hold in your hands is much more than a scrapbook: it is an invitation to explore something unparalleled, a combination of art, science, special effects, enveloping stories and inspirational narratives, with the magic touch of virtual and augmented reality.
Windows to Infinity is more than an exhibition: it is a universe carefully designed to be explored and to find amazement in every corner and every detail.
Every item is created to be completely immersive and let technology and creativity transport you to worlds full of life and emotion.
This traveling exhibition that I am now creating will be ready to be deployed in the world’s biggest cities in 2026. I hope this experience lives for a long time in your mind and that you enjoy this endless journey as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Welcome to an artwork where dreams have no limits and where every space is an open window to infinity.
